“U Can Grow not only provides seeds for us but also comes to buy my produce. Their encouragement keeps me going, and I am proud to be a part of this green movement.”
Meet Kedibone Mabusa
At U Can Grow, we believe that every individual has the potential to nurture a green thumb and
create a thriving garden, regardless of their background or circumstances. Today, we’re delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our remarkable community farmers, Kedibone Mabusa, hailing from Kromdraai.
“My name is Kedibone Mabusa from Kromdraai, and I love gardening with all my heart!”
Kedibone exclaims, radiating enthusiasm for her green passion. As a mother and grandmother, Kedibone’s journey into gardening was not just about nurturing plants but also providing for herself and her family in a sustainable way.
Facing the challenges of securing stable employment, Kedibone decided to turn to the soil for
answers. She embarked on her gardening adventure, transforming her yard into a flourishing oasis of greenery.
Today, Kedibone tends to not one but three separate garden portions on herproperty, a testament to her dedication and commitment to the craft. In her gardens, a vibrantcrop thrives under Kedibone’s care. Here, she nurtures a diverse range of produce, includingbeetroot, lettuce, onions, green peppers, green beans, tomatoes, broccoli, and spring onions. Kedibone’s gardens are a testament to her commitment to sustainable living and her deep connection with the soil.
What sets Kedibone’s journey apart is her partnership with U Can Grow. We don’t just provide
seeds; we actively support and collaborate with community farmers like Kedibone. We recognise their potential and empower them to become successful gardeners and entrepreneurs.
Kedibone’s story is a testament to the power of nurturing both plants and communities. She exemplifies the spirit of resilience and determination that characterises our community of
farmers at U Can Grow. We celebrate Kedibone’s dedication to gardening and her role as a shining example of how, with the right support and passion, anyone can transform their life and community through the beauty of agriculture. We look forward to witnessing her continued success and the growth of her green dreams.
